Halti Dog Training Headcollar, Size 1 Cobalt Blue, Padded Nose Band

The Halti Headcollar is a size 1 training headcollar for small dogs, designed to reduce leash pulling through gentle head guidance.

• Lightweight nylon webbing with a padded neoprene nose band — provides a cushioned contact area while keeping the headcollar lightweight.
• Reflective accents — help make your dog more visible in low light.
• Safety link that attaches to your dog’s collar — adds a connection between the headcollar and collar.
• Designed by Dr Roger Mugford, creator of the first dog headcollar — brings a design developed specifically as a leash-training aid.
• Halti and Dr Roger Mugford have over 40 years of experience with leash-pulling problems — reflects a focus on this training challenge.
• Recommended for use with the double clip Halti Training Leash — pairs the headcollar with a leash made for no-pull training.

Leash pulling can make walks difficult to manage. The Halti Headcollar is made for training walks where guiding your dog’s direction is useful, with a design that steers the head so the body follows. Size 1 is identified for small dogs, and the cobalt blue colour gives this version a distinct appearance.

How does the Halti Headcollar help with leash pulling?

It gently steers and guides your dog’s direction when the leash is pulled. The head-guiding approach is based on the principle that the body follows the head, giving you a way to redirect your dog during a walk. It was developed as a training aid for leash pulling, including with strong pullers.

• Made for leash-pulling training.
• Uses gentle directional guidance rather than relying only on leash tension.

Is the Halti Headcollar designed for comfort?

Yes. Its padded neoprene nose band and lightweight nylon webbing are designed for comfortable use. The headcollar is also made to allow your dog to pant, eat and drink while wearing it.

• The padded band sits around the nose.
• The design does not interfere with panting, eating or drinking.

What safety features does it have?

The Halti Headcollar has reflective accents for improved visibility in low light and a safety link that connects to your dog’s collar. Together, these features add visibility and a second connection point while you are out walking.

• The safety link attaches to your dog’s collar.
• Reflective details are incorporated into the headcollar.

What leash works with the Halti Headcollar?

Halti recommends pairing it with the double clip Halti Training Leash for a no-pull training setup. The headcollar is the training aid; the double clip leash is a separate pairing recommendation.

• Recommended leash: double clip Halti Training Leash.
• Choose size 1 for the small-dog version.

The Halti Headcollar is suited to small-dog owners working on leash pulling who want a training aid with padded nose contact, reflective details and a collar safety link. Its size 1 fit, directional head-guiding design and ability to allow panting, eating and drinking make it a practical choice for training walks.
