Hompet Large Cat Litter Mat 2-Pack, 48 x 72, Waterproof and Machine Washable

Hompet Cat Litter Mat is a two-mat set designed to catch tracked litter and help protect floors, with a 48 x 72 size and a four-layer, waterproof construction.

• Two large mats, each sized 48 x 72 — cover a wider area around the litter box and keep a spare ready for rotation.
• Textured litter-catching surface — helps lift loose litter from paws and lets it shake off easily.
• Four-layer build with a 100% waterproof barrier — helps absorb liquid and prevent seepage onto floors.
• Machine washable and built to handle 300+ washes — clean and reuse the mats.
• Quilted fabric and anti-slip backing — offer a soft surface for paws and grip on tile, wood, or laminate.

Scattered litter, litter box misses, and frequent cleaning can make the area around a litter tray harder to maintain. Hompet’s large two-pack is made for homes that need broader coverage around a box, including multi-cat households and high-traffic litter areas. The two mats also make it easier to keep one in use while the other is being washed.

How much area do the mats cover?

Each Hompet Cat Litter Mat measures 48 x 72, giving you a wide zone to place around the litter box. The extra-large coverage is intended to help catch litter before it spreads farther across the floor, and can suit busy litter areas or homes with multiple cats.

Use the mat around the box where cats step out and loose litter tends to land. The set includes two mats, so you can rotate them as part of your cleaning routine. Compare the 48 x 72 size with the floor space available in your chosen litter area before placing it.

• Two Hompet mats are included.
• The large format is made for broader coverage around a litter box.

How does the surface catch litter, and how do you clean it?

The textured top helps lift loose litter from your cat’s paws as they leave the box, while collected litter stays on the surface for easier shake-off. Unlike groove or honeycomb designs that hold debris deep inside, this surface is intended to let litter be shaken away before washing.

Dump or shake off loose litter, then machine wash the mat and reuse it. Hompet says the mats are built to handle 300+ washes without losing performance. The soft quilted fabric is designed to feel gentle on sensitive paws, making the mat suitable for regular use where cats step in and out of the litter area.

• Shake loose litter from the surface before washing.
• Machine wash and reuse; the mats are built for 300+ washes.

Does the mat help protect floors from urine?

Yes. Hompet’s four-layer construction has a soft top layer, an extra-heavy absorbency core, and a 100% waterproof barrier to help keep liquid and urine from seeping through to the floor.

The absorbent core helps lock in moisture and reduce odors, while the barrier is designed to protect against litter box misses. This makes the mat useful for placing beneath or around the area where spills may reach the floor. The top layer and absorbent core work alongside the waterproof barrier as part of the mat’s liquid-protection design.

• Four-layer construction includes a soft top, absorbency core, and waterproof barrier.
• The core helps hold moisture and reduce odors.

Will the mat stay in place, and can it be used elsewhere?

Hompet Cat Litter Mat has an anti-slip backing designed to grip tile, wood, and laminate floors. Its quilted fabric provides a soft surface for paws, while the backing helps keep the mat in position around the litter box.

Beyond litter areas, the mats can also serve as feeding mats, crate liners, or pet resting areas. The two-piece set supports washing rotation, so a clean mat can be ready while its pair is being cleaned. When first unpacked, folds from packaging may take a few days of regular use to disappear. To help the mat relax sooner, fold it in the opposite direction or place a heavy object on top; washing it before first use can also help it lay flat.

• Suitable floor types include tile, wood, and laminate.
• Additional uses include feeding areas, crates, and pet resting spots.
• Initial packaging folds can relax with use; washing before use may help the mat flatten sooner.

Hompet’s two-pack is suited to cat households that want a broad litter-catching area, a washable mat, and a second one for rotation. Its 48 x 72 size, reusable construction, and layered liquid barrier make it a practical fit around litter boxes and other pet areas.
