Green water and algae can make aquarium water less clear. This compact lamp is made for freshwater and saltwater aquariums, with a choice of placement inside the fish tank or in a filter tank. Its timer offers scheduled operation for outbreak periods and routine maintenance.

What is the hygger Aquarium U-V Light designed to do?

It is designed to help clean water affected by green water and algae in freshwater or saltwater aquariums. The light uses a 254nm wavelength U-V treatment, making it an algae-control option for the stated 5–25 gallon tank range. It is intended for aquarium water quality support, not as a general-purpose aquarium light.

• 3W power
• For freshwater and saltwater tanks
• Designed for green water and algae control

How do the timer and operating modes work?

Choose a 3H, 6H, 12H, or 24H setting with the power switch; the unit manages the on/off cycle and remembers the selected setting. During a green algae outbreak, the instructions recommend continuous 24H use for 3 to 7 days. For daily maintenance, use 3H per day. Long-term continuous 24H operation shortens bulb lifespan.

• Healthy mode: keep the protective shield closed and place the light in the fish tank.
• High efficiency mode: open the protective shield and place the light in a filter tank.

What comes with the aquarium light?

The set contains one U-V light with timer, two suction cups, and one user manual. The suction cups are included as accessories for positioning the unit. A compatible replacement bulb is available separately: choose the HG245 model, which is designed to fit this light.

• One U-V light with timer
• Two suction cups and one user manual
• HG245 compatible replacement bulb sold separately

The hygger Aquarium U-V Light suits aquarium keepers looking for a timed way to address green water and algae in a 5–25 gallon freshwater or saltwater tank. Its closed-shield tank placement and open-shield filter-tank placement provide two specified ways to use the unit, while the timer supports both outbreak and routine schedules.
