hygger Aquarium UV Light, 5W for 49.2–151 L Tanks, Timer and 360° Shield

The hygger Aquarium U-V Light is a 5W aquarium lamp designed to help treat green water and algae in freshwater or saltwater tanks holding 13–40 gallons (about 49–151 L).

• 254nm U-V wavelength — provides the light treatment used by this aquarium algae-control lamp.
• 3H, 6H, 12H and 24H timer options with memory — set a cycle and retain your chosen setting.
• 360° protective shield — surrounds the light for its in-tank placement mode.
• Closed-shield and open-shield modes — choose placement in the aquarium or in a filter tank.

Green water outbreaks and regular aquarium upkeep call for different treatment schedules. This compact lamp offers timed operation for both situations, with placement options for use in the fish tank or a filter tank. Its design is intended for freshwater and saltwater aquarium setups.

How can I set the timer for algae treatment or upkeep?

The hygger Aquarium U-V Light has four timer choices: 3H, 6H, 12H and 24H. Press the power switch to select a duration; the light then manages the on/off cycle automatically and remembers the selected setting. During a green algae outbreak, use the 24H mode continuously for 3 to 7 days. For daily maintenance, the recommended schedule is 3H per day.

• Long-term continuous 24H operation shortens the bulb’s lifespan.
• The timer settings are selected using the power switch.

Where can the hygger U-V Light be placed?

Use the hygger Aquarium U-V Light in the fish tank with its protective shield closed, or place it in a filter tank with the shield open. These are the lamp’s healthy mode and high-efficiency mode, respectively. The 360° shield is designed to help protect fish and people during use; select the placement mode that matches your setup.

• Healthy mode: shield closed, light placed in the fish tank.
• High-efficiency mode: shield open, light placed in a filter tank.

What comes with the light, and which replacement bulb fits?

The hygger Aquarium U-V Light set includes one U-V light with timer, two suction cups and one user manual. When a replacement bulb is needed, the compatible model is HG245; the replacement bulb is sold separately. The included suction cups are part of the set for positioning the lamp.

• Included: one timed U-V light, two suction cups and one user manual.
