KONG Terrain Retractable Dog Leash, Medium Black, 16 ft with Soft Grip

KONG Terrain is a medium retractable dog leash for everyday walks, with a 16' (4.9 m) reach and an intuitive brake-and-lock mechanism.

• Soft grip handle — gives you a cushioned-feeling grip surface to hold during walks.
• Color-coordinated belt with reflective stitching — adds reflective detail to the leash belt.
• Brake-and-lock mechanism — gives you intuitive brake and lock controls while walking.
• Designed around natural walking motions — the mechanism works with you and your dog as you move.
• Made for repeat walks — KONG positions the leash for durability and strength walk after walk.

For walks on a favorite trail or regular outings close to home, a retractable leash offers a longer connection between you and your dog than a fixed-length lead. The KONG Terrain brings that format together with a soft grip handle and belt details made for everyday walking. Its medium size and stated leash length help clarify the version shown here, while the brake-and-lock feature is intended to work with the movements of both walker and dog.

What is the KONG Terrain leash made for?

The KONG Terrain is made for everyday dog walks, including outings along a favorite walking trail. It is a retractable leash with a 16-foot belt, giving the lead its specified length as you walk. The brake-and-lock mechanism is designed to work with the natural walking motions of you and your dog, rather than being separate from the movement of the walk.

• Leash style: retractable.
• Size: medium.
• Length: 16 feet.

How does the brake and lock work?

The leash uses an intuitive brake-and-lock mechanism designed to work alongside your and your dog’s natural walking motions. The brake and lock are the control features identified for managing the retractable leash during a walk. This gives you a leash with both functions built into its mechanism, without adding an unsupported operating sequence or training requirement.

• Control functions: brake and lock.
• Designed to work with the walking motions of both handler and dog.

What are the handle and belt features?

The handle has a soft grip surface, and the belt is color coordinated with reflective stitching. These details distinguish the handhold from the belt: the grip is the part you hold, while the stitching runs along the leash belt. The belt’s reflective stitching provides a reflective feature without making a claim about a specific visibility distance or lighting condition.

• Handle: soft grip.
• Belt: color coordinated with reflective stitching.

The KONG Terrain is suited to dog owners looking for a medium retractable leash for routine walks and trail outings, with a soft grip, reflective belt stitching, and brake-and-lock controls. Its stated 16-foot length and walking-focused features make it a clearly specified option for everyday use.
