A hide gives a snake or other small pet a covered place to retreat inside its habitat. Leoterra’s large format is made for snakes including ball pythons, corn snakes, milk snakes, and king snakes, while the covered top is designed to improve humidity in the space beneath it. The entrance is an important fit check, especially for larger or well-fed snakes.

Will the entrance fit my snake?

The opening is 2.75 inches wide and 2.55 inches high, so compare those measurements with your snake before use. The hide is intended for adult or well-fed king snakes, corn snakes, and milk snakes, and is also named for ball pythons and full-size corn, milk, and king snakes. Individual fit depends on whether your pet can pass comfortably through the entrance.

• Check both the width and height of the entrance against your snake’s size.
• Use the hide for the snake species and sizes identified for this product.

How does the hide support a humid area?

A top-seal design helps improve humidity in the area covered by the hide. This makes it a covered retreat for reptile habitats where a more humid space is useful. The hide also provides a sense of security for snakes and other reptiles.

• The top-seal design covers the space beneath the hide.
• Regularly clean the hide and the reptile terrarium.

Can small pets use this hide, and how do I care for it?

Yes. The hide can also serve as a hideout for hamsters, guinea pigs, ferrets, moles, and other pet mice. Its easy-to-clean surface supports routine habitat care; clean the hide regularly along with the terrarium when used for reptiles.

• Suitable as a hideout for the small pets named above.
• Rounded edges are designed to help prevent injury.

Leoterra Large Snake Hides suit reptile keepers looking for a covered retreat with a humidity-focused top-seal design, as well as owners of the small pets named above. For snakes, the key fit check is the entrance size; these hides are intended for pets that can enter and leave through that opening.
