Lixit Retractable Dog Tie-Out, Large Stake with 4.6 m Coated Steel Cable

Lixit Retractable Dog Tie Out is a Stake-style dog tie-out designed to give dogs room to roam, with a Large size and a pack quantity of one.

• Retractable cable winds back into its housing automatically — helps keep the leash from tangling.
• 15-foot (4.57 m) braided, coated steel cable — gives a dog 706 square feet (65.7 square meters) of roaming area.
• Housing rotates 360 degrees — allows the tie-out to turn as the dog moves.
• Reflective sticker on the housing — helps owners see it at night and avoid tripping over it.
• Stake version, Large size, pack of one — identifies the selected configuration.

Dogs that spend time outdoors can benefit from a tie-out that gives them space to move while keeping the cable managed. Lixit’s retracting reel is made for use in areas such as a deck or yard, and the mounting design is intended to secure the tie-out in place. Its rotating housing and coated cable support movement around the anchor point.

How does the retractable tie-out manage the cable?

The cable automatically rolls back into the housing when slack develops. The 15-foot braided, coated steel line provides the stated roaming area of 706 square feet, while the housing turns through 360 degrees as the dog moves around it. This retracting design is intended to help prevent the leash from getting tangled.

• The leash is a braided steel cable with a protective coating.
• The reel housing turns in every direction around its mounting point.

What mounting setup is this version made for?

This listing is for the Stake version, in Large, with one tie-out. Lixit’s tie-out design also describes a bracket for attachment to a secure surface, including a deck, post, side of a house, or RV. Choose a secure mounting point suited to the selected setup before use.

• Examples of secure surfaces named for bracket mounting include decks and posts.
• The reflective sticker is on the reel housing, helping make the housing easier to notice in low light.

What dog size does Lixit recommend?

The 15–30-pound (6.8–13.6 kg) recommendation applies to the Small size; this listing is the Large size. The weight range is useful when comparing the Small option, but it is not a weight recommendation for the selected Large version.

• Selected configuration: Large, Stake, pack of one.
• Small-size guidance: dogs weighing 15–30 pounds.

Lixit’s retractable tie-out suits dog owners looking for a fixed outdoor tie-out with a cable that retracts into its housing and room for movement around the anchor point. The Large Stake listing is a one-piece tie-out with a rotating reel and a 15-foot coated steel cable.
