Mag-Float Acrylic Aquarium Algae Cleaner, Large Plus Floating Scrubber

Mag-Float Large Plus is a floating magnetic acrylic aquarium algae cleaner that uses rare-earth neodymium magnets to clean from outside the tank and help keep your hands dry.

• Inner scrubber floats to the surface when detached — easier to retrieve without reaching into the aquarium.
• Freshwater and saltwater use — suits both types of aquarium.
• Cleaning pad stays free of sand and gravel — helps prevent scratches on aquarium glass or acrylic.
• Toxic-free ABS plastic construction — the cleaner can remain attached to the aquarium 24/7.
• Designed to reduce the effort, time and expense of routine aquarium maintenance.

Algae and other unwanted material can build up on aquarium surfaces, including in spots that are awkward to reach by hand. Mag-Float lets you clean from outside the tank, helping avoid disturbing corals or decorations and reducing the chance of introducing skin toxins or soaps into the aquarium. Its floating design also keeps the inner scrubber at the surface when it is not connected for cleaning.

What aquarium size is Mag-Float Large Plus recommended for?

Mag-Float Large Plus is recommended for acrylic aquariums of 125 gallons and up (473 L), with a surface thickness up to 3/4 in (19 mm). Compare your tank’s acrylic panel thickness with that limit when choosing this size.

• Recommended tank capacity: 125 gallons and up.
• Maximum acrylic surface thickness: 3/4 in.

How does the magnetic cleaner remove algae?

Place the outer felt magnet against the outside of the aquarium and the magnet draws the inner scrubber into position. Move the outside piece across the surface and the inner pad follows to scrub away algae and other unsightly material. When cleaning is finished, detach the outer magnet; the inner scrubber rises to the surface and rests there until the next use.

• The outside felt magnet guides the inner scrubber across the aquarium surface.
• The inner piece floats after separation, rather than remaining at the bottom of the tank.

What helps protect the aquarium surface during cleaning?

The cleaning pad remains free of sand and gravel, helping prevent those particles from scratching glass or acrylic as the scrubber moves. The cleaner is made with ABS plastic, and its rare-earth neodymium magnets are designed not to lose strength over time.

• Suitable for freshwater and saltwater aquariums.
• Pad design helps keep sand and gravel away from the cleaning surface.

Mag-Float Large Plus is suited to aquarium owners who want to remove algae without putting their hands into the tank or disturbing decorations and corals. It is also a practical aquarium accessory or gift for owners of larger acrylic tanks, with its floating inner scrubber and magnetic cleaning action designed for maintenance from outside the aquarium.
