MagTool Aquarium Auto Top Off System, Green, Dual Optical Sensors

MagTool ATO is an automatic aquarium top-off system designed to refill evaporated water and help maintain a stable water level, using dual optical sensors to control filling.

• Low-level sensor starts refilling and high-level sensor stops it — helps maintain the set water level as evaporation occurs.
• Compact sensor measures 0.7 inches (about 2 cm) — takes up little space in the aquarium.
• Designed for reef, saltwater, freshwater, and planted aquariums — supports different aquarium setups, including open-top tanks.
• Dual sensors and an intelligent filling-time safety program — stops operation when needed to help prevent overfilling.
• Complete kit with a 12V DC pump, adapter, anti-siphon check valve, tube, bracket, controller, and manual — includes the parts needed for daily operation.

Evaporation can lower aquarium water levels during everyday use, particularly in open-top setups where water may evaporate faster. MagTool ATO is made to handle routine top-offs automatically, so maintaining the water level does not depend on adding water by hand each day. Its sensor-based operation is also useful when you are away for a short period and want the system to manage daily top-offs.

How does MagTool ATO control the water level?

MagTool ATO uses two optical sensors to manage the refill cycle: the lower sensor detects a drop in water level and starts the pump, while the upper sensor detects the target level and stops filling. This automatic start-and-stop process is designed to keep the water level more stable as evaporation takes place. A separate intelligent safety program monitors filling time and stops operation when needed, providing an additional safeguard against overfilling.

• The lower optical sensor triggers a refill when the water level falls.
• The upper optical sensor signals the system to stop filling at the correct level.
• The safety program monitors the duration of filling and can stop the system.

Which aquariums is this top-off system designed for?

MagTool ATO is suitable for reef, saltwater, freshwater, and planted aquariums. It is also intended for open-top aquariums, where faster evaporation can make regular water additions more frequent. The compact sensor measures 0.7 inches (about 2 cm), helping it take up minimal space within the aquarium setup.

For aquarium keepers, maintaining a steadier water level can reduce the need to add water manually as part of daily care. The system is designed for routine top-off rather than a one-time fill: the sensors detect changing water levels and control the refill cycle. MagTool provides a 1-year warranty for the ATO system.

• Suitable for reef, saltwater, freshwater, and planted aquarium setups.
• Designed to help manage evaporation in open-top aquariums.
• Sensor size: 0.7 inches (about 2 cm).
• Manufacturer warranty: 1 year.

What comes in the MagTool ATO kit?

The kit contains a 12V DC water pump measuring 1.5 × 1.5 × 2.0 inches (3.8 × 3.8 × 5.1 cm), with a 74 GPH flow rate (280 L/h) and an 8.2 ft maximum head height (2.5 m). It also includes a power adapter, anti-siphon check valve, 1.5 m water tube (4.9 ft), mounting bracket, controller, and user manual. The listed kit contents are intended to provide the parts needed for daily operation without purchasing additional parts.

• 12V DC pump with 74 GPH flow rate (280 L/h).
• Maximum pump head height: 8.2 ft (2.5 m).
• 1.5 m water tube (4.9 ft), power adapter, anti-siphon check valve, and mounting bracket.
• Controller and user manual.

Can MagTool ATO manage top-offs while you are away?

MagTool ATO automatically handles daily top-offs, so it can manage routine water-level changes during a short absence. The dual-sensor refill cycle starts when the water level drops and stops when the correct level is reached; the filling-time safety program can also stop operation when needed. It is designed to reduce the need to ask someone to check and top off the aquarium during a short trip or business absence.

MagTool ATO is suited to aquarium keepers who want automatic daily top-offs across reef, saltwater, freshwater, or planted setups, especially open-top aquariums with faster evaporation. Its dual optical sensors control refilling, and its kit includes the pump and listed operating components for daily use.
