MarineLand Rite-Size B Aquarium Filter Cartridges, 6 Count with Activated Carbon

MarineLand Rite-Size B Bio-Wheel Penguin filter cartridges are replacements for Marineland Penguin Bio-Wheel Power Filters, designed to trap debris and filter aquarium water with activated carbon.

• Six replacement cartridges — keep replacements on hand for routine filter maintenance.
• Made for Marineland Penguin Bio-Wheel Power Filters — choose a cartridge matched to this filter range.
• Double-thick poly fiber pad — captures debris and waste particles as water passes through.
• Black Diamond Premium Activated Carbon and a patented ribbed backing — support chemical filtration and even carbon distribution.
• Pre-assembled, color-coded Rite-Size B format — slides into place for a straightforward cartridge change.

These cartridges are made for aquarium keepers who need a replacement filter element that combines mechanical and chemical filtration. The pad catches solid waste, while activated carbon filters the water as it moves through the cartridge. The cartridge is intended to support clean, clear aquarium water in systems using a compatible Penguin Bio-Wheel Power Filter.

How does the cartridge filter aquarium water?

It uses a double-thick poly fiber pad for mechanical filtration and Black Diamond Premium Activated Carbon for chemical filtration. The fiber traps debris and waste particles, while the carbon provides the filtering medium inside the cartridge. A patented ribbed backing distributes the carbon evenly, helping water make contact with it across the cartridge.

• Mechanical filtration captures particles in the poly fiber pad.
• Chemical filtration is provided by activated carbon inside the cartridge.
• The ribbed backing is designed to promote even carbon distribution and water-to-carbon contact.

Which filters does this replacement fit?

MarineLand Rite-Size B Bio-Wheel Penguin cartridges fit Marineland Penguin Bio-Wheel Power Filters. Each cartridge arrives pre-assembled and slides into place, so there is no cartridge assembly step. The color-coded Rite-Size packaging helps identify the replacement size for the filter.

• Product format: Rite-Size B replacement cartridge.
• Compatibility: Marineland Penguin Bio-Wheel Power Filters.
• Installation: slide the pre-assembled cartridge into place.

How often should the cartridge be changed?

For best results, change the cartridge every 2 to 4 weeks. The filtration needs of an aquarium can vary with tank size, maintenance habits, and fish population, so those factors affect the maintenance routine for an individual setup.

• Recommended replacement interval: every 2 to 4 weeks.
• Aquarium size, upkeep, and fish population influence filtration needs.

MarineLand has supported fishkeeping for over 40 years, and its equipment serves commercial display systems and scientific research as well as home aquariums. These replacement cartridges suit keepers using a compatible Penguin Bio-Wheel Power Filter who want both particle capture and activated-carbon filtration in a pre-assembled format. They are designed for that filter range and routine cartridge replacement, with the exact interval influenced by the aquarium’s size, upkeep, and fish population.
