MIDOG Inflatable Dog Recovery Collar, Large Blue Soft Donut for Post-Surgery Wound Protection

MIDOG Inflatable Dog Cone is a blue, size Large recovery collar for dogs, designed to help protect wounds after surgery with a soft inflatable donut shape.

• Full-range vision — helps dogs see while moving around at home.
• Protective donut barrier — helps prevent licking or biting stitches, hotspots, and wounds.
• Inner collar loops and an adjustable strap — help keep the collar securely fitted.
• Removable nylon cover — machine-washable for straightforward care.
• Inflatable design — lets you adjust the collar’s air level during recovery.

After surgery or when a dog has a hotspot or wound, limiting access to the affected area can help prevent self-inflicted irritation. This donut collar is designed to restrict neck rotation while allowing comfortable movement, with an open design that lets dogs see, eat, drink, and sleep. Its soft shape offers an alternative to a plastic cone and is intended to eliminate anxiety during post-surgery healing.

How does the MIDOG recovery collar help protect a wound?

The inflatable donut creates a barrier around the neck that makes it harder for a dog to reach stitches, hotspots, or wounds by licking or biting. It restricts neck rotation enough to help prevent self-inflicted injuries while still allowing comfortable movement. The design provides a full range of vision, so dogs can navigate at home and eat, drink, and sleep while wearing it.

• Made for post-surgery healing and wound protection.
• Soft donut shape in place of a traditional plastic cone.

How do I choose the right size and secure the collar?

MIDOG offers seven neck-size options, from X-Small at 6–9 inches (15.2–22.9 cm) to X-Large at 21–24 inches (53.3–61 cm). Measure your dog’s neck before choosing; the title’s Large size does not provide a specific neck-measurement range here. Thread your dog’s own collar through the inflatable collar’s inner loops, then use the adjustable strap to set the fit.

• The dog’s own collar threads through the inner loops.
• An adjustable strap provides a customizable hold.

How do I inflate and clean the MIDOG collar?

Pinch the valve while blowing into it, or use a small air pump, to inflate the collar. To let the air out, pinch the valve and press gently; check the air level daily during recovery. Wipe the exterior clean, or remove the nylon cover for machine washing in cold water and air-dry it.

• The soft, scratch-proof exterior is gentle on walls and furniture.
• For powerful chewers or large active breeds, supervise closely; determined dogs may puncture the inflatable bladder. The collar is not for destructive chewers.

MIDOG Inflatable Dog Cone is suited to dogs recovering from surgery or needing a barrier around a hotspot or wound, especially when a clear view and room for everyday activities matter. It also suits owners who want a removable, machine-washable cover and an adjustable fit. It is not intended for destructive chewers, and the dog’s neck should be measured before selecting a size.
