Paws Aboard Reflective Dog Life Jacket, Neon Yellow Large with Rescue Handle

The Paws Aboard Reflective Dog Life Jacket is a flotation vest for dogs enjoying water activities, with a closed-cell foam core, 360° reflective trim and a Large fit for dogs weighing 50–80 lb (23–36 kg).

• High-density nylon shell and closed-cell foam core — a flexible, tear-resistant construction for use around boats, docks and other sharp edges.
• Raised chin-float collar — supports your dog’s head above water and helps keep them oriented as they swim.
• Reinforced rescue handle and leash D-ring — provide lifting and leash-attachment points for water outings.
• Neon Yellow design with 360° reflective trim — increases visibility in dawn, dusk and overcast conditions.
• Adjustable dual-buckle straps, hook-and-loop panel and quick-dry mesh underbelly — allow fit adjustment and help limit chafing.

Dogs can tire, become unsettled or need help getting back onto a boat or shore during time in the water. This jacket is made for swimming and boating activities, including pool, lake, beach, river raft, dock, kayak and stand-up paddleboard outings. Its flotation features, visibility details and lift points bring practical functions together in one vest for dogs in and around the water.

What flotation features help keep a dog supported?

The raised chin-float collar supports the dog’s head above the water and is designed to help keep the nose up if the dog becomes tired or panicked. The collar also helps keep small breeds, puppies and older dogs oriented while swimming. The brand says the collar is designed to prevent the panic-inhale that flat-design vests can allow; it is a flotation aid, not a substitute for supervision.

• Designed with first-time swimmers and anxious dogs in mind.
• The collar is also intended for short-muzzled breeds.

How can I lift or guide my dog while wearing it?

A reinforced top handle at the dog’s center of mass provides a lifting point intended to help raise a wet dog level. A durable D-ring beneath the handle accepts a leash for control on a boat deck, at a dock or during shore walks. Together, these features support handling during kayaking, paddleboarding and other water activities.

• Use the handle as the vest’s rescue-lift point.
• Attach a leash to the D-ring for on-foot or boat-deck control.
• The vest is intended for pools, lakes, boats, beaches, SUP, kayaks, docks and river rafts.

How do I choose the right size and visibility option?

This Large jacket fits dogs weighing 50–80 lb (23–36 kg), with Labrador, Golden Retriever, Husky and Boxer given as example breeds. Dual-buckle adjustable straps and a hook-and-loop panel let you adjust the fit. The quick-dry mesh underbelly is designed to help prevent chafing during long days on a boat. Choose the size by your dog’s weight; the brand’s size range also includes XX-Small for dogs under 6 lb (2.7 kg).

• This listing’s color is Neon Yellow, with reflective trim around the vest.
• Other designs in the range are Nautical Dog, Racing Flames, Pink Polka Dot, Grey Camo, Blue & Yellow, Pink/Silver and Signature Red.

What makes the vest’s construction suited to water use?

The vest combines a high-density nylon shell with a closed-cell foam core, the same material combination used in human watersports vests. The shell is designed to stay flexible and resist tearing against sharp boat edges, kayak cleats and dock boards. Unlike thin ripstop polyester, which the brand says can stiffen and crinkle in water, this construction is intended for repeated water outings.

• Flexible construction for movement in the water.
• Designed for use around boat, kayak and dock surfaces.

This jacket suits dog owners who want flotation, reflective visibility and practical handling features for swimming, boating and shore activities. The Large is intended for dogs within its 50–80 lb weight range, and its nylon shell, foam core, adjustable fit, chin collar, handle and leash D-ring provide the specific features for those outings.
