Paws Aboard Reflective Dog Life Jacket, Red Large, with Chin Support and Rescue Handle

The Paws Aboard Reflective Dog Life Jacket is a flotation vest for dogs in and around water, with a raised chin-support collar and an adjustable Large fit for dogs weighing 50–80 lb (23–36 kg).

• DualShell neoprene and nylon construction — combines a flexible, wetsuit-grade neoprene layer with a nylon outer shell for water outings.
• Raised SafeChin flotation collar — supports your dog’s head and helps keep the nose above water.
• Reflective trim around the vest — improves visibility in low-light conditions such as dawn, dusk, and overcast weather.
• Top rescue handle and leash D-ring — gives you a lift point and an attachment point for leash control.
• Adjustable dual-buckle straps and hook-and-loop panel — let you adjust the vest to your dog’s body.

For dogs joining their people at the pool, lake, beach, or on a boat, a life jacket adds flotation and a practical way to assist them in the water. The Paws Aboard vest is designed for varied water activities, including paddleboarding, kayaking, dockside time, and river rafting. Its features address flotation, visibility, and handling in one wearable design.

How does the collar support a dog in the water?

The raised SafeChin flotation collar supports your dog’s head above the water and helps keep the nose oriented upward. This can be especially useful for first-time swimmers, anxious dogs, puppies, older dogs, small breeds, and dogs with short muzzles. The collar is designed to help maintain head position as a dog tires; it does not replace attentive supervision around water.

• The raised shape adds flotation at the chin and head.
• The design focuses on keeping the nose above the waterline.
• The vest is intended for pool, lake, beach, and boating activities.

How can you lift or guide your dog while wearing it?

A reinforced handle sits on top of the vest, positioned at the dog’s center of mass to help you lift a wet dog in a more level position. A D-ring beneath the handle provides a leash attachment point for managing your dog on a boat deck, paddleboard, kayak, dock, or shore walk. These two handling points support different moments during a water outing: lifting and leash control.

• Use the top handle as the vest’s lift point.
• Attach a leash to the D-ring for water-side or deck control.
• The handle and D-ring are integrated into the life jacket.

Will the Large size and construction suit your dog?

The Large size is for dogs weighing 50–80 lb (23–36 kg), with Labrador, Golden Retriever, Husky, and Boxer given as suitable breed examples. Adjust the fit using the dual-buckle straps and hook-and-loop panel. The underside has quick-dry mesh, designed to help reduce chafing during longer days on the water.

Instead of a vest made from stiff ripstop polyester, the DualShell build pairs flexible, wetsuit-grade neoprene with a nylon outer shell. The design is intended to hug the dog’s body, while the nylon exterior is made for contact with boat edges, kayak cleats, and dock boards. This Red version has 360-degree reflective trim; the product range also comes in Nautical Dog, Racing Flames, Pink Polka Dot, Grey Camo, Neon Yellow, Blue & Yellow, and Pink/Silver designs.

• Large fit: 50–80 lb (23–36 kg).
• Quick-dry mesh underbelly for extended wear on boat days.
• Eight listed designs, including this Signature Red version.

This jacket suits dog owners looking for flotation, a raised head-support collar, reflective visibility, and built-in lifting and leash-control points for water activities. The Large fit is for dogs within its 50–80 lb range, and its neoprene, nylon, adjustable fit, and quick-dry mesh make it purpose-built for outings around water.
