Carrying a pet through an airport, on a trail or during everyday travel calls for a carrier that gives the animal a contained place while leaving the wearer’s hands free. PetAmi combines a backpack format with two-sided access, storage pockets and a cushioned resting area. It is designed for cats and smaller dogs that fit the stated weight and interior size, including senior dogs, injured pets and anxious pups who benefit from a calm, contained space while on the go.

Will this backpack carrier fit my pet?

The carrier measures 12.5 inches long, 10.2 inches wide and 16.3 inches high, and accommodates pets up to 18 lb. It is intended for large cats and small-to-medium dogs; before choosing it, measure your pet from neck to tail and from the floor to the top of the shoulders to assess the fit. Its structured frame helps the carrier keep its shape rather than collapsing onto your pet.

• Compare your pet’s neck-to-tail length and floor-to-shoulder height with the carrier’s available space.
• The backpack is sized to fit under most airplane seats; airline requirements vary, so confirm the current rules for your flight.

How does the carrier help keep a pet secure and comfortable?

Reinforced zippers, an interior safety strap and a buckle clip are designed to help keep pets inside during travel. The thick sherpa-lined bed cushions your pet, and breathable mesh panels allow air to circulate through the carrier. The bed is plusher than the thin mats commonly included with carriers.

• Two-way side-entry zippers provide access from either side, useful when space is limited in an airplane cabin or car seat.
• A reflective strap helps improve visibility on early-morning and evening outings.
• Padded shoulder straps, together with chest and waist buckles, are designed to distribute carrying weight.

What comes with the PetAmi backpack, and how does it pack away?

The carrier is made from 600D polyester and has side pockets for carrying treats, a leash and waste bags. A collapsible bowl is included for keeping your pet hydrated while you are out. When the carrier is not in use, it folds flat for storage in luggage or a closet.

• Use the side pockets to keep small pet essentials close at hand.
• Take the collapsible bowl along for travel and outings.
• Fold the backpack flat between trips to save storage space.

PetAmi Dog Backpack Carrier is suited to cat and dog owners who want a hands-free carrier for flights, hikes and other travel, and whose pet fits the stated weight and size. Its defined frame, two-sided entry, cushioned bed and included collapsible bowl make it a travel carrier with practical features for both pet and wearer.
