PetSafe Gentle Leader Dog Headcollar, Red Large, Padded No-Pull Design

PetSafe Gentle Leader is a red, Large dog headcollar designed to help redirect leash pulling, using a padded nose loop and neck strap to guide your dog’s head rather than put pressure on the throat.

• Designed by a veterinary behaviorist — helps improve leash behavior by redirecting a pulling dog’s attention.
• Rests across the nose and neck, not the throat — guides the head when your dog pulls.
• Durable nylon straps with a padded neoprene nose loop — made for daily walks.
• Minimal strap design — leaves your dog cooler than a more covered design.
• Quick-snap neck strap and adjustable nose loop — makes fitting straightforward.
• Red, Large size — intended for dogs without short snouts.

Pulling can make regular walks and trips to the vet harder to manage, especially when distractions catch your dog’s attention. The Gentle Leader is designed to give you more control while allowing your dog to move freely, making it suitable for everyday walks and other leashed outings.

How does the PetSafe Gentle Leader help with pulling?

When your dog pulls, the PetSafe Gentle Leader guides their head to redirect attention back toward you. Its nose-and-neck placement works without resting on the throat, and the headcollar allows a full range of motion.

PetSafe says the design has helped millions of pet parents improve leash behavior, and the headcollar is recommended by vets to interrupt a dog’s natural instinct to pull against pressure. It is designed to support walks without force or discomfort.

• Made for leash walks where pulling or distractions are a concern.
• Your dog can eat, drink, pant and catch a tennis ball while wearing it.

What materials and fit features does this headcollar have?

The PetSafe Gentle Leader combines durable nylon with a padded neoprene nose loop. A quick-snap neck strap and adjustable nose loop help you fit it in minutes.

When securing the nose loop, listen for the snap closure. Adjust the nose loop for your dog, and use the quick-snap neck strap to secure the headcollar. The red Large option is for dogs that fit this size; the Gentle Leader is not recommended for short-snouted dogs such as pugs or bulldogs.

• Colour: red.
• Size: Large.
• Available in multiple sizes across the Gentle Leader range.

Who is the PetSafe Gentle Leader made for?

The PetSafe Gentle Leader is for dog owners who want help managing pulling on everyday walks while letting their dog keep normal movement. Its minimal straps are designed to keep dogs cool, and the padded nose loop adds cushioning where the headcollar rests.
