PetSafe Microchip Cat Door, 40-Pet Capacity with 4-Way Lock

The PetSafe Microchip Cat Door is a battery-powered cat flap that gives programmed cats independent access in and out, identifying them by their unique 15-digit microchip ID and storing up to 40 pets.

• Reads FDXB microchips — lets programmed cats use the door without a separate collar key.
• Stores up to 40 pets — supports multi-cat homes with individual microchip access.
• Four manual lock settings — choose Locked, Unlocked, Enter Only or Exit Only.
• Fits most wood, PVC and uPVC doors — supports installation in common door materials.
• Magnetic latches and built-in weather stripping — help keep unwanted paws and drafts out.
• Battery-powered with a low-battery signal — alerts you when it is time to change the batteries.

This microchip-activated cat door is made for households that want their cats to come and go without leaving an opening available to every animal outside. Programmed cats can enter and exit independently, including when people are asleep or away from the door. Access is tied to each pet’s microchip ID, helping prevent unprogrammed animals from wandering indoors.

How does the PetSafe Microchip Cat Door recognize my cat?

The door reads a cat’s unique 15-digit microchip ID and opens for pets programmed to use it. It can read FDXB microchips, and you can program the IDs of up to 40 pets for use in one multi-pet household. This gives each registered cat access without relying on an ordinary open flap that any animal could pass through.

• Programming is designed to be quick and easy.
• Cats without a microchip can use a programmable collar key, sold separately.

Which access settings and barriers does the cat door provide?

A manual four-way lock lets you choose how the door operates. Set it to Locked, Unlocked, Enter Only or Exit Only to control whether your cat can pass through, and in which direction. The settings let you adjust access to suit your household routine.

Two magnetic latches are designed to deter unwanted guests and prying paws, while built-in weather stripping helps reduce drafts entering the home. Together, these features add control at the flap and help limit air movement around the door opening.

• Use Locked when you want to prevent passage in either direction.
• Choose Enter Only or Exit Only when access should be limited to one direction.

What doors can the PetSafe Microchip Cat Door fit?

It fits most wood, PVC and uPVC doors. Installation in metal, glass, brick or a wall requires additional accessories, which are sold separately, so the intended installation surface determines what else you will need.

The door is battery-powered and signals when the batteries need changing. That alert helps you know when to refresh the power source for continued operation. The design is intended for installation in a suitable door or opening; the extra accessories needed for some surfaces are not included with the standard fit guidance.

• Suitable door materials include wood, PVC and uPVC.
• Metal, glass, brick and wall installations need separate additional accessories.
