Ruffwear Sun Shower Dog Raincoat, Earth Brown, Medium – Lightweight Weatherproof Coverage

Ruffwear Sun Shower is a medium dog raincoat designed to shield dogs from rain and wind, with a seam-sealed 70D/210D ripstop shell.

• Lightweight, seam-sealed ripstop shell — helps block rain and wind in changeable weather.
• Longer vest-style cut and oversized storm collar — extend coverage across the hips and thighs.
• Back leash portal — lets the coat sit over most harnesses.
• Adjustable leg loops and hem cinch — help tailor the fit and keep the coat in place.
• Reflective trim and an integrated light loop — support visibility on low-light outings; Beacon Light is sold separately.
• Packable design and side-release buckles — make the coat easier to store and put on or take off.

Wet, windy conditions can make walks and trail outings less comfortable for dogs. The Sun Shower adds a lightweight outer layer for unpredictable weather, with coverage designed to extend beyond the back and with fit adjustments for active movement. Its Earth Brown color and medium size identify this version of the coat.

How does the Sun Shower protect dogs from rain and wind?

The coat uses lightweight, seam-sealed 70D/210D ripstop fabric as a weatherproof barrier against rain and wind. The extended vest-style cut covers the hips and thighs, while the oversized storm collar adds coverage around the neck. This combination is made for outings when weather changes and a dog needs coverage beyond the back.

• The seam-sealed construction forms part of the shell’s weather barrier.
• The collar and longer cut extend protection over more of the dog’s body.
• The fabric is specified as lightweight, keeping the coat suited to outdoor use.

How can I adjust the fit and keep the coat in place?

Adjustable leg loops and a hem cinch let you customize how the coat sits on your dog. The loops help keep the garment in place in gusty weather, while the cinch allows fit adjustment for active movement. Side-release buckles make it easier to put the coat on and remove it, including when a dog is wiggly.

• Use the Ruffwear sizing chart and measure your dog to choose the right size.
• The leg loops provide an additional way to secure the coat during wear.
• The hem cinch fine-tunes the fit without changing the coat’s vest-style coverage.

Can the raincoat be worn with a harness?

Yes. A portal on the back lets the leash connect through the coat while it is worn over most harnesses, so the rain layer can be used without giving up leash access. For visibility in early mornings or late evenings, reflective trim and an integrated loop are included; Ruffwear’s Beacon Light is sold separately.

• The back portal provides leash access through the coat.
• The light loop is designed for the Ruffwear Beacon Light.
• The coat is lightweight and packable for storage between outings.

The medium Earth Brown Sun Shower suits dog owners looking for a packable rain layer with extended body coverage, adjustable fit, and access for most harnesses. It is designed for rain and wind on walks and trail adventures, with a longer cut, leg loops, and reflective details built into the coat.
