Ruffwear Sun Shower Dog Raincoat, Small Midnight Blue, Extended Coverage and Harness Access

Ruffwear Sun Shower is a small dog raincoat designed to keep dogs dry and comfortable in rain and wind, with a lightweight, seam-sealed 70D/210D ripstop shell.

• Seam-sealed 70D/210D ripstop shell — helps block rain and wind.
• Extended vest-style coverage and an oversized storm collar — cover more of your dog’s body.
• Adjustable leg loops and a hem cinch — help customize the fit and keep the coat in place.
• Back leash portal — lets you wear the coat over most harnesses while maintaining leash access.
• Reflective trim and an integrated light loop — add visibility features for low-light outings.
• Lightweight, packable design — makes the coat easy to store between walks.

Unpredictable weather can make walks wet and windy, so the Sun Shower is made to provide rain protection without adding a bulky layer. Its small size is suited to dogs whose measurements match Ruffwear’s sizing chart; checking your dog’s measurements against the chart helps you choose the fit that provides the intended coverage.

How does the Sun Shower protect against rain and wind?

The coat uses a lightweight, seam-sealed 70D/210D ripstop shell to block rain and wind and help keep your dog dry and comfortable. The oversized storm collar and longer vest-style cut extend protection across the hips and thighs, rather than ending at a shorter back length.

• Made for changing weather conditions.
• Vest-style coverage reaches over the hips and thighs.

How does the coat stay in place and fit different dogs?

Adjustable leg loops help hold the coat in position, while the hem cinch lets you customize the fit for active movement. Use Ruffwear’s sizing chart and your dog’s measurements to select a size; the Small option is intended for dogs that fall within that size’s chart measurements.

Side-release buckles make the coat easier to put on and take off, including when a dog is wiggly. The adjustable features allow the fit to be tailored, while the extended cut provides coverage over the rear legs and hips.

• Leg loops adjust to help keep the coat secure in gusty weather.
• Side-release buckles open and close for dressing and removal.

Can the Sun Shower be worn over a harness?

Yes, the back leash portal allows the coat to be worn over most harnesses, with leash access through the coat. This lets you use a compatible harness underneath without giving up the coat’s coverage or leash control.

• The leash opening is positioned on the back.
• Compatibility is stated for most harnesses.

What visibility and storage features does it have?

The coat has reflective trim and an integrated loop designed for Ruffwear’s Beacon Light, which is sold separately. Its lightweight construction also makes it packable for storage when it is not being worn.

• The integrated loop is for a Beacon Light; the light is not included.
• Reflective trim is part of the coat’s low-light visibility features.

The Ruffwear Sun Shower in Small is a practical choice for dogs whose measurements match the size chart and who need a lightweight layer for wet, windy walks. Its shell, adjustable fit features, and harness-access opening make it a raincoat designed for outdoor use in changing weather.
