Rain and wind can make everyday walks less comfortable, especially when the weather changes mid-outing. The Sun Shower is made for dogs who need wearable coverage on rainy walks and outdoor adventures. This listing is the X-Small size in Midnight Blue; choosing a suitable size starts with measuring your dog and comparing the measurements with Ruffwear’s sizing chart.

How does the Sun Shower protect a dog from rain?

The coat uses lightweight, seam-sealed 70D/210D ripstop fabric to block rain and wind. Its oversized storm collar and longer vest-style shape extend the covered area over the hips and thighs, while the coat is designed to keep dogs dry and comfortable in unpredictable weather.

• Made for wet, windy conditions.
• Lightweight shell construction.

How does the coat stay in place during walks?

Adjustable leg loops help hold the coat in position, and the hem cinch lets you customize the fit for active movement. Side-release buckles make it easier to slip on and remove, including for wiggly dogs. Measure your dog and use Ruffwear’s sizing chart to choose the appropriate size.

• Vest-style coverage reaches over the hips and thighs.
• Designed with an adjustable fit for movement.

Can the Sun Shower be worn over a harness?

Yes, its back leash portal lets the coat be worn over most harnesses while preserving leash access. This allows you to connect a leash through the coat without giving up the coverage it provides.

• Leash access is positioned on the back.
• Compatible with most harnesses.

What visibility and storage features does it have?

The coat has reflective trim and an integrated light loop designed for the Ruffwear Beacon Light, which is sold separately. Its lightweight construction is also packable for storage between outings. The listed color is Midnight Blue.

• Reflective trim for low-light visibility.
• Integrated loop for a compatible Beacon Light.

The X-Small Sun Shower suits dogs whose measurements match that size in Ruffwear’s chart and whose owners want a packable raincoat with extended coverage for walks and outdoor activity. Its weatherproof shell, adjustable fit features, and leash portal make it a practical choice for rainy outings with most harnesses.
