For coat trimming and shaping at home or during grooming work, this set brings several scissor styles together with a comb. It is intended for grooming both dogs and cats, including grooming routines associated with flea protection.

What comes in the Smithking grooming scissors set?

The set includes four scissors—a straight pair, thinning scissors, curved scissors and chunkers—and a comb. A case, cleaning cloth and adjustment key are also included; use the key to adjust scissor tension.

• Straight scissors for general trimming.
• Thinning scissors for thinning coat; their carefully finished teeth are designed to cut without clipping the hair.
• Curved scissors and chunkers for shaping and grooming work.

What are the blades made of, and how are they finished?

Smithking makes the scissors from 6CR stainless steel, and each pair goes through 40 polishing and grinding processes. The blade edges are evenly polished for sharp cutting, while the thinning scissors have clearly finished tooth tips.

• The straight and other scissor edges are evenly polished.
• The thinning teeth are crafted for coat thinning without clipping hair.

Can left- and right-handed groomers use these scissors?

Yes, the A-style handle design is made to suit both left- and right-handed users. Soft silicone rings sit in the handles for a more comfortable hold and can be removed if you prefer to use the handles without them.

• Removable silicone rings let you choose whether to keep the inserts in place.
• The adjustment key lets you alter the tightness of the scissors.

The Smithking set suits pet owners and groomers who want multiple scissor styles for dog and cat coat grooming, along with a comb and basic care and adjustment accessories. Its straight, thinning, curved and chunker scissors cover different trimming and shaping tasks, while the case keeps the set together. For grooming routines that include flea protection, it is a multi-style set for working through a pet’s coat. The set combines four types of scissors, a comb and an adjustment key for users who want varied grooming tools in one kit.
