Dogs often need an extra layer for cool or cold walks, while a comfortable fit matters just as much for moving, playing and settling in at home. This hoodie is designed as an everyday sweatshirt-and-sweater layer for the cold season. It suits dry conditions; for wet weather, layer a dog raincoat over it.

Is this hoodie warm enough for winter walks?

The fleece lining and stretch shell make the hoodie an everyday warm layer for cool and cold walks. Its flexible construction gives with your dog’s movement, so the layer can be worn for walks, runs and play rather than saved for occasional photos. It can also be worn indoors for all-day comfort. For deep freezes, use it underneath a lined winter coat or jacket; the hoodie is not a substitute for that extra outer layer.

• Made for cool, dry days rather than rain.
• For a wet walk, put a dog raincoat over the hoodie.

How do I choose the right size for my dog?

Measure your dog’s chest girth, compare it with the size chart in the images and choose the larger size if the measurement falls between two sizes. The range runs from Small through 5XL, and most buyers choose Large or larger. The cut has been fit tested on dogs with different builds, including broad-chested breeds such as French Bulldogs, Pitbulls, English Bulldogs and Labradors. It is designed for female and male dogs without restricting movement.

• Use chest girth as your measurement when selecting a size.
• Check the image size chart before choosing among the eight sizes.

Can my dog wear a harness underneath the hoodie?

Yes. A discreet opening lets you connect a leash to a harness worn underneath, so you can keep the hoodie on for walks. The opening provides leash access without needing to remove the sweatshirt. The hood and pull-on shape keep the design simple, with no fiddly closures to fasten.

• Designed to be worn over a harness for leash walks.
• Pull the hoodie over your dog’s head to put it on.

How should I wash and dry the dog hoodie?

Machine wash the hoodie in cold water and line dry it. The fabric blend combines polyester, cotton and spandex, while the 4-way stretch allows the material to move with your dog. Follow the cold-wash and line-dry care method to keep the hoodie ready for frequent wear.

• Machine wash cold.
• Line dry.

Spark Paws Dog Hoodie is suited to dogs that need a flexible layer for everyday dry-weather walks, play and time at home, including dogs with broad chests. It is designed as a comfortable cold-season sweatshirt layer, with the option to wear it under a lined coat in deep freezes.
