StellarOcean Large Turtle Basking Platform for Aquariums with 45° Ramp and Suction Cups

StellarOcean is a large aquatic turtle basking platform for creating an above-water basking area in medium to large aquariums, with a 45° climbing ramp and a fit for tanks at least 14 inches (35.56 cm) wide and 19 inches (48.26 cm) high.

• At least 8 suction cups on the bottom and sides, plus spare cups — helps secure the platform inside the tank.
• 45° ramp with extra holes and grips — gives turtles textured climbing support.
• PVC, couplings and a plastic platform — makes up the handcrafted dock and ramp assembly.
• Two height options; other dimensions stay fixed — lets you choose the available height that suits your tank.
• Compatible with 50-, 70-, 75- and 125-gallon tanks — provides a clear capacity reference when checking fit.

Aquatic turtles need a place to climb out of the water and bask. This dock is intended for medium to large setups, with a ramp leading up to the platform. Measure your aquarium before choosing, and consider the turtle’s size and the tank’s water level when planning placement.

Will this basking platform fit my aquarium?

It is made for tanks at least 14 inches (35.56 cm) wide and 19 inches (48.26 cm) high, including compatible 50-, 70-, 75- and 125-gallon tanks. The width and height requirements help leave room for the platform and for your turtle to move above and below the basking area. A small gap between the dock and tank wall is intentional, so the platform is not meant to press tightly against the glass.

• Measure the aquarium before purchasing.
• Only the height has two options; the other dimensions are fixed.
• Keep the tank water level above the product’s minimum water level.

How does a turtle climb onto the basking area?

The 45° plastic ramp connects the water to the platform, with added holes and grips to help turtles climb. At least 8 suction cups on the dock’s bottom and sides secure it to the tank, and extra suction cups are supplied as backups. The platform is designed for larger turtles and tanks than those shown in the product photos and videos, and is not ideal for very small turtles.

• Handmade construction can result in height differences under 1 inch (2.54 cm).
• Those small height variations do not affect the platform’s use.
• The ramp is made from easy-to-clean plastic.

How should I install and introduce the dock?

Place the platform in the aquarium before adding water to help prevent it from floating and make installation easier. Turtles can take time to get used to a new basking spot; for a shy turtle, guiding it with food may help it become familiar with the platform. If the legs are too high, the PVC pipes can be trimmed with a compatible pipe cutter.

• The pipes are 2 cm in diameter.
• A PVC pipe cutter can be purchased separately.
• Turtles may climb onto the platform at different times as they adjust.

StellarOcean’s dock is suited to keepers with a medium to large aquarium who want an elevated basking area and a ramp for an aquatic turtle. Its tank-fit requirements, suction-cup mounting and climbable ramp make it a defined choice for larger turtles rather than very small ones.
