Surgi~Snuggly Dog Surgery Recovery Suit 2XLS, Breathable Cone Alternative

Surgi~Snuggly 2XLS is a post-surgery recovery suit for male and female dogs after spay or neuter procedures, designed as a wearable alternative to a cone with an easy-open back.

• Pee- and poo-friendly design — supports everyday bathroom needs during recovery.
• No snaps, zippers, or cutting holes — makes the suit straightforward to put on.
• Soft, stretchable, custom-milled fabric — lets dogs move comfortably while wearing it.
• Breathable textile — provides a fabric-based option for post-surgical wear.
• Veterinarian-founded design — shaped by founders with more than 40 years of veterinary experience.

After surgery, some dogs need a way to cover the recovery area while still moving around and taking bathroom breaks. Surgi~Snuggly is designed for that practical routine: it covers the body like a onesie, rather than placing a traditional e-collar around the dog’s neck. The suit is made for male and female dogs and is intended for use after spay and neuter surgeries. Its fabric construction and open-back dressing design make it a wearable choice for owners looking for an alternative to a cone during recovery.

What size is the Surgi~Snuggly 2XLS?

The 2XLS size fits a dog with a spine measurement of 28–32 inches (71.1–81.3 cm). Surgi~Snuggly’s WaGS sizing system considers spine length, girth, and weight to guide fit, so compare your dog’s measurements when choosing this size. The range includes 14 sizes and 7 colors, while this product is the 2XLS variant.

• Measure from the base of the neck to the base of the tail for the spine-length comparison.
• Use girth and weight as additional fit considerations within the WaGS system.

How does this recovery suit work for bathroom breaks?

The suit opens at the back for putting it on, and its design accommodates both urination and defecation. There are no snaps or zippers to fasten, and there is no need to cut holes in the garment. This makes the design relevant for a regular recovery routine, when the dog needs to wear a covering but still take bathroom breaks.

• Open the back to dress the dog.
• Designed for male and female dogs.

What is the Surgi~Snuggly suit made for, and who created it?

It is made to support comfortable post-surgical wear, including after spay and neuter procedures, as an alternative to an e-collar or cone. The stretchable textile is custom-milled and breathable, and the design allows dogs to move while wearing the suit. Surgi~Snuggly was founded in 2008 by veterinarian Dr. Paul O. Williams and his wife; their veterinary experience informed the design. The brand identifies the suit as veterinarian-approved and says its sourcing follows American standards. Surgi~Snuggly is an American business, and its recovery suit has been used in veterinary and pet health settings for more than 13 years.

• Designed by a veterinarian and informed by veterinary experience.
• Made from breathable, stretchable textile rather than a rigid neck collar.

The Surgi~Snuggly 2XLS is suited to dog owners seeking a body-worn recovery covering for a male or female dog after surgery, particularly when an open-back design and bathroom-friendly use matter. Its fit is intended for a 28–32-inch spine measurement, with weight and girth also considered in the WaGS sizing system.
