ThunderShirt SPORT is made for dogs that experience anxiety, fear, over-excitement, or stress-related behaviors in particular situations. Common triggers include thunderstorms, fireworks, loud noises, being left alone, travel, vet or grooming appointments, crate training, and visitors at home. The vest is also used to help with behaviors such as hiding, barking, reactivity, and destructive behavior. It is the original dog calming vest, recommended by veterinarians and used by trainers and pet parents.

How does ThunderShirt SPORT help calm dogs?

The vest applies constant, gentle pressure around your dog’s torso through a patented wrap design, similar to swaddling an infant. This pressure is intended to help ease anxiety naturally; ThunderShirt is designed to support calmer behavior without medication. It can be used for specific events or situations that prompt stress, as well as for dogs that need support with recurring triggers.

• Designed for anxiety, fear, and over-excitement.
• May help with stress-related barking, hiding, reactivity, and destructive behavior.

What is the vest made of, and how do you use it?

ThunderShirt SPORT is made from 100% lightweight, breathable polyester fabric. Fasten it around your dog’s neck and torso, then adjust it to provide a comfortable, secure fit and the right pressure. No training is required to use the vest, and the Sport design maintains full mobility for all-day wear.

• Machine washable for routine care.
• Reflective logos and contrasting trim add visibility details for nighttime walks.

Which dogs and situations is this X Small vest for?

This version is labeled X Small and is intended for dogs that fit that size. ThunderShirt SPORT can be used at home or when facing stressful situations outside the home, including travel, grooming, and veterinary visits. Rescue dogs are also included among the dogs the vest is made to support. Choose the size that fits your dog; the adjustable wrap lets you set the pressure around the neck and torso.

• Use for storms, fireworks, loud noises, separation, crate training, and new visitors.
• Suitable for support during grooming appointments, vet visits, and travel.

Can ThunderShirt SPORT be paired with other calming products?

ThunderShirt SPORT can be paired with ThunderEase Dog Calming Pheromone Spray or Diffuser, powered by Adaptil, and ThunderBites Calming Chews. These products are presented as options for creating a broader calming routine alongside the vest.

• Pairing options include ThunderEase spray or diffuser and ThunderBites chews.
• The vest itself uses a pressure-wrap design and does not require medication or training.

ThunderShirt SPORT is a practical choice for pet parents seeking wearable support for a dog’s situational stress, including rescue dogs and dogs affected by noise, separation, travel, or appointments.
