ARTERO Double Flexible Slicker Brush, Size S Nature Collection for Dogs and Cats

The ARTERO Double Flexible Brush is a two-sided slicker for brushing dogs and cats, with a flexible head and separate faces for opening the coat, detangling and lifting loose undercoat.

• Two working faces — switch between coat opening and detangling with one brush.
• Gray face with thin, randomly placed pins — stretch and open the coat.
• Black face with thicker pins in rows — detangle and remove shedding undercoat.
• Flexible head joined by a metal plate — bend the brush to follow the body.
• Size S measures 8.3 x 2.4 in (21 x 6 cm) — a compact option for brushing.

Regular brushing can involve different tasks, from opening and fluffing the coat to working through tangles and shedding undercoat. This double-sided brush brings those tasks together for grooming dogs and cats across coat types, with a flexible head that can follow the contours of the legs, chest and body.

What does each side of the ARTERO brush do?

The gray side is for stretching and opening the coat, while the black side is for detangling and removing loose undercoat. The gray face has thinner pins set at random; the black face uses thicker pins arranged in rows. Use the gray side against the direction of coat growth when you want to stretch and open the coat.

• Choose the gray face to open and fluff the coat.
• Turn to the black face to detangle while pulling out shedding undercoat.

How do I use this double-sided slicker?

Hold the handle and slide the pins through the coat in the direction of the handle, working section by section. This brushing method lets you work through the coat in manageable areas. Remove collected hair from the brush by hand or with a comb.

• Brush one section at a time.
• Use the gray side against coat growth to stretch and open the coat.
• Clear built-up hair by hand or with a comb.

Good to know: This brush is not a mat splitter and is not designed for pelted coats; split tight, pelted mats first, then use the brush to finish the coat.
