COOSPIDER Aquarium Filter with 6W UV Light for 37.9–170 L Tanks, 158 GPH Flow

The COOSPIDER JUP-02S internal aquarium filter combines an 8W pump with a 6W UV light to support water cleaning and circulation in 10–45 gallon tanks (about 38–170 L).

• 8W pump with 158 GPH flow (about 598 L/h) — moves and circulates aquarium water.
• 6W, 254nm UV light — adds a UV treatment stage to the filter’s cleaning system.
• Replaceable biochemical sponge and UV stage — combine sponge filtration with UV treatment.
• Six functions — supports green-water cleaning, oxygen supply, deodorization, wave generation, circulation and water pumping.
• Separate pump and UV switches, with an externally visible UV light — lets you control each function and see whether the lamp is on.
• One-year warranty — provides warranty coverage for the filter.

Cloudy or green aquarium water can make it harder to enjoy a clear view of a tank. This submersible filter combines a biochemical sponge, UV treatment and water movement in one unit for aquarium and turtle-tank setups. Its two outlet directions help distribute the flow, while independent pump and lamp switches give you separate control over water circulation and UV use.

How does the COOSPIDER aquarium filter address cloudy or green water?

The JUP-02S pairs a biochemical sponge stage with 254nm UV treatment. COOSPIDER says the filter can turn cloudy, green water clear within 3–7 days; this is the brand’s stated performance claim, not a guaranteed result. The sponge is replaceable and can be reused after cleaning, while the UV stage adds a second part to the filtration process.

The system also supports several water functions beyond filtration, combining water movement with oxygen supply, deodorization and wave generation. These functions come from the filter’s submersible pump and its two-stage setup.

• Two outlets point in different directions.
• The UV light can be checked from outside the unit, without opening it.

Which tank size and setup is this filter made for?

This internal aquarium filter is intended for tanks from 10 to 45 gallons. It is also suitable for a shallow turtle tank, where the unit can be positioned horizontally in the water. Fully submerge the filter before connecting its power cord.

The pump moves water through the unit and back out through the directional outlets, supporting circulation and wave generation. Its stated flow rate is 158 GPH (about 598 L/h). For tank fit, compare your aquarium’s capacity with the 10–45 gallon range before choosing this filter.

• Designed for use inside the tank as a submersible filter.
• Can be placed horizontally in shallow turtle tanks.

How do you operate and clean the COOSPIDER aquarium filter?

Immerse the filter completely in water, then connect its power cord. The pump and UV lamp have independent switches, so you can operate them separately. The recommended UV operating time is 1–2 hours per day; continuous 24-hour use is not needed. The unit has an IPX8 waterproof rating.

For cleaning, the UV light and sponge can be disassembled from the filter. Rinse and reuse the sponge after cleaning. The externally visible UV light makes it possible to check lamp operation without taking the machine apart, and the separate switches allow the pump and lamp to be managed independently.

• Clean the reusable sponge after removing it from the unit.
• Use the UV lamp for the recommended daily period rather than continuously.

The COOSPIDER JUP-02S is suited to aquarium keepers with a 10–45 gallon tank, including those setting up a shallow turtle tank, who want filtration and water movement in one submersible unit. Its sponge stage, UV treatment, directional outlets and independently controlled pump and lamp bring those functions together in a single filter.
