Kurgo Dog Car Harness, Ink Blue Large, Crash-Tested with Seat Belt Tether

The Kurgo Ink Blue Large Dog Harness is a crash-tested car harness that also works for everyday walks, with an all-steel nesting buckle system and five adjustment points.

• Crash tested for dogs up to 75 lb (34 kg) — adds a car-restraint option for dogs within the tested weight limit.
• Large size fits an 18–30 in (45.7–76.2 cm) neck and a 24–34 in (61–86.4 cm) chest — compare your dog’s measurements for fit.
• Five adjustment points — help tailor the harness to different dog proportions.
• Broad, padded chest plate — helps disperse energy and reduce injury in an impact crash.
• 10 in (25.4 cm) seat belt tether with carabiner — connects the harness to any vehicle seat belt system.

For car trips, a dog harness needs to restrain the dog while fitting comfortably enough for regular use. The Kurgo harness combines car-restraint features with front and back leash attachment points, so it can also be used for everyday walks and training.

How does the Kurgo harness help during car travel?

It has an all-steel nesting buckle system and hardware, with safety engineering based on harnesses used by rock climbers and linesmen. The padded chest plate is designed to spread impact energy across a broad area and help reduce injury in a crash. Crash testing applies to dogs up to 75 lb (34 kg); the harness is not intended to exceed that stated tested weight.

• The included seat belt tether has a carabiner.
• The tether works with any vehicle seat belt system.

Will the Large size fit my dog?

Large is made for dogs with neck measurements from 18 to 30 in (45.7 to 76.2 cm) and chest measurements from 24 to 34 in (61 to 86.4 cm). Five adjustment points allow a more tailored fit across different shapes and proportions. Measure your dog and use the Kurgo size chart to determine where those measurements fall.

• Neck range: 18–30 in (45.7–76.2 cm).
• Chest range: 24–34 in (61–86.4 cm).

Can I use it for walks, and how do I care for it?

Yes. Two leash attachment points make this car harness suitable for everyday use: a front No-Pull D-ring for training and a back attachment point for leash connection. The broad padded chest plate is intended to add comfort as well as protection during car travel. Machine washing is suitable for cleaning the harness.

• Front No-Pull D-ring for training.
• Back leash attachment for everyday use.
• Machine washable.
