LYL LEYOULAND Extra Large Turtle Basking Platform for 17–19-Inch Tanks with Mesh Top

LYL LEYOULAND Turtle Basking Platform is an above-tank basking area for aquatic turtles, with a stepped access ramp and a fit for standard tanks 17–19 in (43.2–48.3 cm) wide.

• Fits standard tanks up to 150 gallons — adds a basking area above compatible aquariums.
• One-piece base and four supporting pillars — create a directly mounted, level platform.
• Stepped ramp and protective side barriers — help turtles climb up and stay on the platform.
• Transparent acrylic and metal construction — lets light pass through and allows left-to-right repositioning around tank equipment.
• Metal mesh top — lets you place a heat lamp directly on the platform without a stand.
• Assembly takes less than 10 minutes — the acrylic protective film can be removed where transparency is wanted.

Aquatic turtles need a place outside the water to dry off and warm up. This platform gives them an elevated area for basking or resting while making use of the space above the tank. Its extra-large design is made for compatible aquariums, including 40 breeder, 65-gallon, 75-gallon, 90-gallon and 125-gallon tanks.

Which tanks does this turtle basking platform fit?

It is designed for standard tanks up to 150 gallons that are 17–19 inches (43.2–48.3 cm) wide. That includes 40 breeder, 65-gallon, 75-gallon, 90-gallon and 125-gallon tanks. Compare your tank’s width with this range when choosing a fit.

• The platform mounts above the tank to create additional space for basking.
• Its position can shift left or right to work around water pipes, filters and other accessories.

How does a turtle climb onto the platform?

A ramp with steps provides a route from the aquarium up to the basking area. The ramp extends inward, and the 5-inch (12.7 cm) space between it and each side helps limit escape routes.

• Side barriers help prevent climbing off the platform and reduce the risk of falls.
• The added basking area gives turtles room to dry off, warm up or rest.

How is the platform supported and set up?

A one-piece base mounts directly to the tank, with four pillars supporting the platform. This mounting design is intended to provide a steadier foundation than common bracket-mounted alternatives. The platform combines transparent acrylic with metal, and its mesh top can hold a heat lamp directly without a separate stand.

• Assembly is required and takes less than 10 minutes.
• Both sides of the acrylic have protective film; remove it where you want the acrylic to be transparent, or leave the film on sections that do not need to be clear.

LYL LEYOULAND Turtle Basking Platform suits owners of red-eared sliders, painted turtles and other pets that need a place to bask, especially when they want to use the area above a compatible aquarium. It provides an elevated basking space with a stepped ramp, protective sides and a directly mounted base.
