ROUWINNE Hard Bottom Dog Car Seat Cover, PU Leather Extender with 191 kg Capacity

ROUWINNE is a hard-bottom dog car seat cover that extends the rear-seat area for dogs, with a tested 420-pound (190.5 kg) load capacity and a 25 mm egg-crate foam topper.

• 25 mm egg-crate foam with hundreds of cushioning points — creates a cushioned surface for the ride.
• Extends to 53 inches (134.6 cm) wide by 24.8 inches (63 cm) deep — gives dogs more room to move and stretch.
• Tested to hold up to 420 pounds (190.5 kg) — supports use by large dogs or more than one dog.
• 100% waterproof faux leather — helps protect the rear-seat area from spills, slobber and dirt.
• Foldable 3.7 lb (1.7 kg) hard-bottom plate — can make space for a passenger or child safety seat.

Dogs can have limited room to shift position on an ordinary rear seat, while claws, hair and slobber can soil or scratch the upholstery. ROUWINNE combines an extended cover with a cushioned, supported surface for car journeys. It is designed for cars, SUVs and small trucks, with space intended for larger or older dogs and multi-dog families.

What makes the ride surface more comfortable for dogs?

The cover has a 25 mm egg-crate foam topper with hundreds of individual cushioning points. Its shaped surface is designed to cradle a dog’s body, breathe better and ease pressure on joints during a ride. This cushioning feature makes the cover especially relevant for senior dogs, large breeds, and dogs with arthritis or hip dysplasia; it is a comfort feature, not a medical treatment.

• The egg-crate form creates multiple cushioning points across the topper.
• The foam surface is designed to support resting during car travel.
• The extended area allows a dog to walk around or stretch its limbs more easily.

How much rear-seat space does the extender provide?

The extender measures 53 inches (134.6 cm) wide and 24.8 inches (63 cm) deep when extended. Compare those dimensions with the available rear-seat area in your car, SUV or small truck to check the fit. By bridging the rear-seat area, it creates a larger place for a dog to settle instead of leaving the footwell open as a drop-off space. The additional room is intended to help ease anxiety on long car trips.

• The cover extends across the rear area and helps prevent a dog from falling into the footwell.
• Its width and depth give dogs room to shift position and stretch.
• It is intended for cars, SUVs and small trucks.

What does the hard bottom support, and can it fold?

The hard-bottom plate has a tested load capacity of up to 420 pounds (190.5 kg), and weighs 3.7 lb (1.7 kg). The plate folds, allowing a person to sit next to the cover or making room for a child safety seat. Its 3.7 lb (1.7 kg) plate is compared with 2.7 lb (1.2 kg) plates in the marketplace, and the supported base distinguishes it from soft-bottom dog hammocks.

• The firm base supports the extended dog area.
• Fold the plate to make room beside the cover or for a child safety seat.
• The stated load capacity is a tested limit, not a recommended dog-weight rating.

What areas does the cover protect, and what is it made from?

The cover is made from faux leather and is designed to protect the rear-seat back and base, as well as the side areas by both doors. The material is described as softer and more resistant to wear and scratches than Oxford cloth. Its waterproof surface helps shield the seat area from dog hair, slobber, dirt and claw marks, while making the cover easier to clean.

• The cover is 100% waterproof.
• Coverage includes the rear-seat surfaces and sides by both doors.
• The faux-leather surface is designed to resist scratches and wear compared with Oxford cloth.
• The original footwell area remains easier to use for placing items.

ROUWINNE suits dog owners who want a cushioned, extended rear-seat space and protection from everyday pet mess, particularly those travelling with a large or older dog or multiple dogs. It also accommodates a passenger or child safety seat when the base is folded. Its combination of egg-crate foam, a foldable hard-bottom plate and waterproof faux leather provides a defined, supported area for dogs in the rear of compatible vehicles.
