After an operation, dogs need a practical way to cover the recovery area while still moving around and taking bathroom breaks. Surgi~Snuggly is made for post-surgical wear, including spay and neuter recovery, and is designed for both male and female dogs. Its clothing-style construction gives owners an alternative to relying on a traditional cone or e-collar.

How does the recovery suit go on and work for bathroom breaks?

The suit opens at the back for putting it on, and its pee- and poo-friendly design supports bathroom use while worn. There are no snaps or zippers to fasten, and the design does not require cutting a hole in the suit. This straightforward opening and access are intended to make routine post-surgery care easier to manage.

• Open the back to put the suit on.
• Bathroom access is built into the design.
• No snaps, zippers, or owner-cut openings are needed.

How do I choose the 2XL-S size?

Choose 2XL-S when your dog’s spine measurement falls within 28–32 in (71.12–81.28 cm). Surgi~Snuggly’s WaGS size system also takes weight and girth into account, so use those measurements alongside spine length when assessing fit. The product range includes 14 sizes and 7 colors; 2XL-S is the size identified for the stated spine range.

• 2XL-S spine range: 28–32 in (71.12–81.28 cm).
• WaGS considers spine, girth, and weight.
• The broader range includes 14 sizes and 7 colors.

What is the fabric and who developed the design?

The suit uses soft, stretchable, breathable custom-milled textile intended to let dogs move comfortably while wearing it. Surgi~Snuggly was founded in 2008 by veterinarian Dr. Paul O. Williams and his wife, with more than 40 years of veterinary experience shaping the design. The company identifies the suit as veterinarian-approved and says its sourcing follows American standards for pet products.

• Custom-milled, soft, stretchable, breathable textile.
• Designed with veterinary experience.
• American standards are used for sourcing.

Surgi~Snuggly is suited to dog owners looking for a wearable option for male or female dogs recovering from spay, neuter, or other surgery, especially when bathroom access and freedom of movement matter. It is a recovery garment rather than a traditional cone, with a size system that uses spine, girth, and weight to guide selection.
