ThunderShirt is made for dogs that experience stress around loud sounds, time alone, travel, or unfamiliar situations. The Sport vest is intended to help with anxiety, fear, and over-excitement without medication, including responses such as hiding, barking, and destructive behavior. It can be used at home or for situations such as thunderstorms, fireworks, vet and grooming visits, crate training, and meeting new visitors.

What situations is the ThunderShirt Sport made for?

It is designed to help dogs cope with stress associated with common triggers, including thunderstorms, fireworks, separation, travel, and loud noises. It can also be used for vet visits, grooming appointments, crate training, and new visitors at home. ThunderShirt has an over-80% success rate, and its pressure-wrap approach is intended to provide a calming sensation similar to swaddling an infant.

• May help with stress-related hiding, barking, and destructive behaviors.
• Suitable for rescue dogs as well as dogs facing everyday or situational triggers.
• Can be used without a training program.

How does the vest fit and apply pressure?

The patented wrap fastens around the neck and torso to create constant, gentle pressure, and the fit is adjustable so you can set the pressure for your dog. The XX Large size identifies this specific version; the available sizing information here does not provide body measurements to compare. The vest is designed to maintain full mobility while being worn.

• Fastens around the neck and torso for a secure fit.
• Adjustable fastening lets you set the pressure.
• No training is required to use the vest.

What is the Sport vest made of, and how do you care for it?

The Sport model is made from 100% durable, lightweight, breathable polyester fabric. It is machine washable, and its design is intended for comfortable all-day wear. Contrasting trim and reflective logos are included as visible design details, including for nighttime walks.

• Fabric: 100% polyester.
• Machine washable for care after use.
• Lightweight construction supports wear while maintaining mobility.

What does the reported improvement figure mean?

In a separate owner-reported measure, 89% of pet parents said their dogs showed improvement in stress-related behaviors while using the ThunderShirt Dog Calming Vest. This is a reported result, not a promise of an individual outcome. The vest uses gentle torso pressure, rather than medication, as its calming approach. ThunderShirt is the original patented dog calming vest and is recommended by veterinarians; trainers and millions of pet parents also trust the product.

• Designed to support calmer responses to anxiety, fear, and over-excitement.
• Can be paired with ThunderEase Dog Calming Pheromone Spray or Diffuser, powered by Adaptil, and ThunderBites Calming Chews.

The XX Large Platinum Sport vest suits dog owners looking for a wearable, adjustable pressure wrap for stress-triggering situations, including walks after dark where reflective logo details are useful. It is a calming aid for anxiety-related responses, with machine-washable polyester fabric and a fastening system that wraps around the neck and torso.
