Dogs may need a muzzle on routine walks, during stressful situations or when encountering unfamiliar people and places. The Baskerville Classic is made for those everyday situations as well as longer periods of wear when correctly fitted. Its basket shape and adjustable features support wearing the muzzle while still allowing important everyday behaviours.

Can dogs pant and drink while wearing the Baskerville Classic Basket Muzzle?

Yes. The open basket design allows a dog to pant and drink while wearing the muzzle, and also leaves room to play. This makes it suitable for daily walks and longer wear when the muzzle fits correctly. It can also be used for visits to the vet or groomer, public transport journeys and introductions to new people.

• Suitable for use in stressful situations and unfamiliar settings.
• Designed for everyday walks as well as extended wear with the correct fit.

What does the Baskerville muzzle’s guard insert help prevent?

The additional insert is designed to limit scavenging, including eating food or wildlife during walks. It also helps prevent a dog from eating rocks, engaging in coprophagia or licking a wound after surgery. Use the insert when these are the behaviours you need to manage; it can be removed for reward-based training.

• Helps address food and wildlife scavenging.
• Can help prevent rock eating, coprophagia and post-surgery wound licking.

How can the Baskerville Classic Basket Muzzle be adjusted?

The TPR material can be reshaped in hot water to create a custom fit. The padded nose piece and easy-to-adjust neck strap are designed to make wearing the muzzle more comfortable, while the strap’s clip provides a secure attachment. Size 10 is the size offered on this page; correct fitting is important for daily use and longer wear.

• Reshape the TPR material using hot water.
• Adjust the neck strap and secure its clip for wear.

Can the Baskerville muzzle be used for reactive-dog training?

Yes. It can be used while training a dog that reacts around other dogs or new people. For a more positive reward-training experience, remove the additional guard so you can offer treats during training. The muzzle is also suited to situations such as vet and groomer visits or travel on public transport.

• Remove the guard insert when rewarding with treats.
• Useful for training around other dogs and unfamiliar people.

The Baskerville Classic Basket Dog Muzzle suits owners looking for a muzzle for walks, training and situations such as vet visits, grooming or travel. Its TPR construction, reshape-to-fit design and basket format make it a practical choice for dogs that need a correctly fitted muzzle while retaining the ability to pant and drink.
