Halti Optifit Dog Headcollar, Size M – Adjustable No-Pull Fit

The Halti Optifit Headcollar is a size M dog headcollar designed to prevent leash pulling through gentle steering, with adjustable nose and cheek straps for a tailored fit.

• Gently guides your dog’s direction — designed to prevent pulling on the leash.
• Adjustable nose band and cheek straps with a camlock — lets you customize the fit.
• Strong, lightweight webbing and a padded nose band — designed with comfort in mind.
• Reflective cheek straps and a safety link — add visibility in low light and connect the headcollar to your dog’s collar.

For dogs that pull or do not fit standard headcollar shapes easily, a guided headcollar offers a way to direct movement during leash walks. The Optifit is made for dogs with varied nose shapes and for dogs that fall between Halti Headcollar sizes, with adjustments intended to help achieve a more suitable fit.

How does the Halti Optifit help with leash pulling?

The Halti Optifit Headcollar is designed to prevent pulling by gently steering and guiding your dog’s direction. This gives you a way to guide your dog during a walk through the headcollar’s directional control, rather than relying only on a standard collar. It is made for leash walking and is intended to support a no-pull training experience.

• Useful for dogs that pull on the leash.
• Designed to guide direction gently.

How can I adjust the fit?

The nose band and cheek straps adjust independently, and a camlock secures the fit. This adjustable design suits dogs whose proportions do not match standard headcollar sizing, including dogs with varied nose shapes. It can also help when a dog falls between sizes in the Halti Headcollar range. Boxers and Greyhounds are examples of breeds for which varied nose shapes can make this fit flexibility useful.

• Adjust both the nose band and cheek straps to customize the fit.
• Size M is the size specified for this headcollar.

Can my dog pant, eat, and drink while wearing it?

The padded nose band and lightweight webbing are designed for comfort, and the headcollar does not interfere with panting, eating, or drinking. Reflective material on the cheek straps improves visibility in low light. A safety link attaches the headcollar to your dog’s collar.

• The safety link connects to your dog’s collar.
• The cheek straps include reflective material for low-light visibility.

Which leash works with the Optifit?

Halti recommends using the Optifit Headcollar with the double-clip Halti Training Leash for a no-pull training setup. The headcollar’s adjustable fit and steering function are intended to work as part of leash training, while the reflective cheek straps and collar safety link provide additional design features for walks.

• Pairing recommendation: the double-clip Halti Training Leash.

The Halti Optifit Headcollar is suited to size M buyers looking for directional guidance on walks, especially when a dog’s nose shape or in-between sizing makes a standard headcollar harder to fit. Its adjustable straps, padded nose band, reflective cheek straps, and collar safety link are built into one walking headcollar.
